Khali certainly is the Indian pride.But he is getting more media coverage than any Indian leader.Last night there was a news : Is khali a match fixer and there was one news about a chota khali,a kid who was nine month old and weighed 22kg.Headlines today has a weekly segment dedicated to Khalli ! New channels are showing "khali Dancing", "Khali eating food","Khali doing exercise" and that "Khali wants a child".
They must have been paid by WWE for this publicity.They are increasing the TRP for WWE shows.
I think all the news channels barring few have become entertainment channels.These news channels have lisence for news,not for entertainment.
Even it is possible that many of the victories of Khali are planned.So thats it may create some interest among Indians.Patriotism will play a role.India is a huge market for almost anything you know.WWE wants to do it ahead of others like TNA etc.
We all know that WWE is not fight, its pure entertainment and those bloodsheds and everything is part of game, where fighters get millions and treatment is always ready during fights. So some amount of reality is instituted in the planned and decided fights! The outcomes of matches are fixed.
It would be foolish if someone thinks that those fights are Real !!!
It's a real shame that while the media seems to focus on fake crap like pro-wrestling, hundreds of poor youngsters fall short of their sporting ambitions due to lack of support.
