"WAKE UP SID" a movie with slight references to the movie "LAKHSYA" highlighting the current Bollywood genre “Live-in
relationships” yet sans any gore or sex rendering it watchable by the Indian family audience.Konkona Sengupta as Aisha Bannerjee yet again beautifully essays her character of an budding professional writer not to mention that too as the lead pair and who says she fits only the intellectual cinema.Ranveer Kapoor as Sid has strived and succeeded in his portrayal of an aimless college student in final years ,a spoiled child of a wealthy Mumbai business class parents who takes everything for granted and fails in the exams because he dozed off the previous night of the exam.Is offered to venture into his father’s established business firm but gives up on his father's aspirations.There is some innocence,some drama,some mellifluous songs and flavours of the Mumbai streets and off course the Marine Drive.
