Education actually is in my blood. I belong to a family of professors. My father is an English professor whereas my mom is a lecturer in economics. Therefore, education always was in my thoughts.
The only thing is that I hail from a very small town namely Pathankot and I had to move far away from my home to purse higher education. It was this moving away that made me realize that small town India is still quite under- privileged. Its inhabitants do not get right opportunities. And it was here that I decided to connect the small town Indians to the Metro Indians and that utopian situation can be achieved only by proper education.
I had made up my mind already for I knew that I belong to education. And I used the very first opportunity that came my way irrespective of its being in the domain of early childhood care initially but is growing at a rapid pace now.
At the time I joined P & G, I was quite raw. Moreover, it was a multicultural company so the first experience was more of learning for me. Luckily the managers I worked under were more like mentors than typical bosses and offered me a very steep learning curve. I learnt a lot there.
