Swaha a beautiful homely girl, who is paralysed from her waist when she was 14 year old only. Om a good friend of Swaha.His father was the garderner of Swaha's garden. As he was a bright student, he was helped by Swaha's father and was able to go to foreign. After his back he came to know about Swaha's ill fate and felt sorry. But Swaha was very strong. She has tried a lot to live life. She used to prepare menu, wish her neighbours and friends in their birthdays and helped the needed persons in someway or other. Her parents were sorry for her. Especially her father, who wishes death for his lovely daughter. On her death bed Swaha arranged marriage between her cousin Devi (who was helping her mother to look after her) and Om. Even after her death she donated her eyes to Rajak a poor blind boy. After her death his father also died, as if he was alive for his daughter only. The incident made Swaha's mother more strong and she decided to become a nurse and served the needed persons. Everything here is dehateeta, means beyond the soul. Swaha's love for others, her mother's service to others and Om's help every thing is beyond the soul.
